UPDATE, RAK and a GIVEAWAY

I would like to say I'm sorry. I had made a mistake on the giveaway on Bev's blog, My Wee Stitching. I had read several blogs that day and I thought this was the one that ran until September 1st. Someone was nice enough to point that out to me so I could edit this post.

Now for the update. I have decided after much frustration, tears, disappointment and disgust the Seven Days of Creation is officially a TOAD. If I never see that piece of linen again it will be waaaaayyyyy to soon. I am convinced that linen is somehow cursed and purposely doing naughty things to me,lol. Maybe a gremlin was using it as a blanket and as far as I am concerned he can have the darn thing back. I love the pattern so I am planning on getting another piece of linen and starting over.

For the past couple weeks I have been taking a hardanger class through ILCS group. Rene is teaching and she's a great teacher. We have one more lesson after this and then we are finished with this piece. I have enjoyed this class very much and have missed a lot of mail but boy was it worth it. Soon we will start a pansy SAL. Very excited about it.

This is a freebie from By the Bay Needleart. I used this olive green fabric since I didn't have anything else to use that is not reserved for another project. I think blues would have went a little better instead of the pinks. I love her patterns. I have the Blossom Hill Sampler. I have been waiting to start it for a while now. We're having a Carries thread exchange and decided when I ordered for my partner I would get some for tis pattern. I have never worked with Carries but have been told they are a real treat.

And now the best thing. Lately I have been pushing to answer mail and just converse with people. It's part of my Major Depression Disorder. This is my fourth episode and with exception of when I was 9, this by far has been the worst. I can't tell you how many thoughts I have each day about myself and how others perceive me. Lately those thoughts have been getting to me a little. You feel like your on the outside of what's going on. Well a little while ago I had seen this pattern called Night Train. I fell in love with this pattern and nothing more came of it. I can not tell how wonderfully surprised I was to receive a pattern like Night Train from Shelly. It really touched my heart and made me feel like I belonged and cared for. Thank you Shelly for lifting my spirits and taming down those awful thoughts I struggle with. You are truly a blessing in my life and an inspiration. Thank you for everyone who took the time to read my blog, I know time is precious.

I am so happy you like the pattern. I know it is not the Night Train, but I knew I would never stitch it so I wanted to give it to someone who would be able to appreciate it. I hope your spirits stay lifted for a long time.

I'm in the same group ILCS, but I didn't see anything about this class with Rene. If there's another coming up, I'd love to know about it.
